The new Consumer Bill of Rights aims to harmonise European legislation into our own consumer protection laws, as well as simplifying many disparate pieces of current UK legislation. This is based on data provided by the majority of citizens advice bureaux in Scotland and data from the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline. We will aim to publish Consumer Snapshot on a regular basis to provide an up-to-date overview of the issues facing consumers in Scotland.

Degrees of Insecurity is based on a CAS survey of nearly 1000 recent Scottish graduates, and reveals that unemployment, low income jobs and skills displacement are issues for many of them. The report looks at background issues affecting employability and makes several recommendations on how better to support students and graduates with the transition into work.
