By Car
Please note that parking is NOT available in the CAS car park except for those requiring disabled parking. Disabled parking spaces can be reserved provided that they are booked well in advance of the meeting or training session by contacting the relevant administrator.
If it is essential for you to travel by car please complete a car travel application form prior to planning your journey.
Limited metered on-street parking is available in the vicinity of CAS.
NB: Some car users have found that their satellite navigation systems have not directed them to the right place when trying to navigate to CAS so you may find it helpful to bring a road map.
By public transport
By train and bus
The most convenient bus from Waverley Station is the number 8.
Exit Waverley Station by going up the escalators that take you to Princes Street. Turn right and then cross over to Princes Street Follow the road down the hill skirting around the St. James Centre to get to the Leith Street bus stop (Stop JD).
The single bus fare is £2.00 The buses accept contactless payment with a card, If using cash you need the exact fare.
After a large roundabout, the number 8 bus turns down a long hill (Broughton Street). You may see the Real Foods shop on the right hand side. The bus continues down the hill and you can see the Mansfield Traquair Centre (this looks like a large church) on the right, followed by Drummond Community High School.
Stay on the bus past the roundabout and the bus stop immediately after it. Alight from the bus at the next stop on Rodney Street, at the bottom of the hill before the traffic lights. Looking to your right you will see Broughton Road and a large Tesco store.
Cross the road onto Broughton Road, walk past Tesco and then turn first left down Logie Green Road. Broadside is at the end of the road on the right, just past Beaverbank Office Park. Turn right after the office, just before the flats and then next first right will take you into the CAS car park. The entrance is at the far end. CAS is on the first floor.

By train and tram
Another option is to take the Edinburgh Trams to McDonald Road and walk to CAS from there (approximately 15 minutes walk). The Trams run every 7 minutes during the working day and the adult day return fare is £3.80. The nearest tram stops from Waverley Station are either St. Andrews Square (ca. 5 minutes walk) or Picardy Place (ca. 7 minutes walk).
Accessibility
Disabled parking, a lift and adapted toilet are all available. If you require disabled parking, please contact the Learning and Standards administrator in advance to reserve a space.
