About the job

Reporting to the Team Leader General & Community Service, you will ensure the provision of a high quality advice and information service to the public by supporting and assisting volunteer advisors during our busy drop-in sessions.

Main responsibilities:
• Provide support to front line volunteer advisers working at different levels of ability
• be available for consultation during drop-in sessions
• Ensure quality of advice by carrying out regular case checking within Citizens Advice Scotland and National Standards Frameworks and highlighting any issues/training needs to the Team Leader.

We operate a Triage system and an operational rota to ensure effective use of our resources. We currently hold SNS to Type III in Housing, Money Advice and Welfare Rights and have a number of innovative projects and outreach provision.

You will be an experienced adviser and confident providing support to volunteer advisers in a front line CAB setting. A demonstrable understanding of the needs of volunteers and of the importance of volunteers to the CAB service is essential. You will have the ability to manage a dynamic busy public facing environment during advice session and to cope well under pressure.
