More about the job

About the job

Citizens Advice Edinburgh are looking to recruit a team of exceptional Advice Services Managers, who share our vision that everyone in Edinburgh should have access to free, high quality, independent and impartial advice and support whenever they need it.

COVID-19 will have a long term social, health and economic impact on many people in our community and Citizens Advice Edinburgh is making sure that we have the resources and expertise needed to meet that demand and deliver service continuity in any lockdown restrictions that may be required now and in the future. We are also looking to build on advances in the flexibility of access to our services, that have been achieved over the last 12 months.

If you have experience in the advice sector, are a strong advocate for social change and want to be part of an organisation with an incredible history of serving its local community, we could have the role for you. Volunteers are at the heart of our service, advocating a model of community social responsibility, so a commitment to supporting volunteers is essential.

As part of a restructure to some of our management roles, we are looking for Advice Services Managers who, in addition to having a solid background and understanding of all advice subjects, will have an expert knowledge and take a leadership role in one of the following most common areas of advice demand:

• Welfare Rights

• Money

• Employment

• Immigration

All of these roles provide a unique opportunity to be part of one of Edinburgh’s most respected and valued community services, helping to support your fellow citizens when the need it most.
