The report analyses the levels of advice given across the Scottish Citizens Advice network in the last financial year.
The data reveals:
- More than a doubling of advice given on Universal Credit in 2018/19
- Over 100,000 debt cases in the past year
- Over 40,000 employment cases, with pay and entitlements the top concern
The report also reveals that the network made over 13,000 referrals to food banks in 2019.
In 2018/19 the network helped over a quarter of a million people with over 700,000 individual pieces of advice, releasing over £130million in financial gains for people.
In addition to that, the Advice for Scotland website received over 3.7million page views from 1.5 million unique visitors.
