Airdrie and Hamilton CABx are looking for highly motivated persons with the drive and enthusiasm to provide comprehensive specialist housing, welfare and debt advice. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the skills and commitment to provide assistance and negotiation to women impacted by domestic abuse.
Duties would involve providing casework covering the full range of housing, welfare and debt advice, up to and including representation working with Lanarkshire Domestic Abuse Response colleagues; you will be involved in training of volunteer advisers, of negotiating with third parties, and providing advice and assistance to other staff in relation to housing and welfare debt issues.
You would assist with social policy work by providing information about clients' circumstances. Provide statistical information on the number of clients and nature of cases and provide regular reports to bureau management.
We expect candidates to be self-motivated and results driven, passionate about social justice, have excellent teamwork, communication and organisational skills and be computer literate. They will have an understanding of the importance of excellent customer services and have a commitment to equality and diversity.
