Are you passionate about making a difference in your local community? Kincardine and Mearns Citizens Advice Bureau (KAMCAB) is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Board of Trustees and help guide the strategic direction of our vital services.

About Us
Since 2009, KAMCAB has been an integral part of the Scottish Citizens Advice network, empowering individuals through free, impartial, and confidential advice. Our mission is to support people in navigating life’s challenges with confidence. Each year, we assist over 1,500 clients, resolving more than 4,000 issues and securing over £1.22 million in financial gains for our community.

As a registered charity, we rely on the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers to sustain our essential services. We offer advice and guidance across a wide range of areas, including benefits, consumer issues, immigration, workplace disputes, and more. Additionally, our specialized services in Welfare Rights and Money Advice ensure that clients receive tailored support to meet their specific needs.

The Role
We are looking for committed individuals from the local area to join our Board of Trustees. As a Trustee, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic vision of KAMCAB, ensuring that we continue to develop and provide high-quality services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the good governance of the organisation
  • Attending regular board meetings (every six weeks) and our Annual General Meeting (AGM)
  • Offering independent judgment and strategic insight
  • Committing time and effort to help drive our mission forward

What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals aged 18 and over who are passionate about community service and have the skills and experience to contribute to our strategic direction. Ideal candidates will have:

  • A strategic mindset and vision
  • Independent judgment
  • A strong commitment to the role and the ability to work collaboratively

Why Join Us?
Becoming a Trustee at KAMCAB is an opportunity to make a tangible impact in your community. You’ll be part of a dedicated team working to ensure that everyone has access to the advice and support they need to navigate life’s challenges.
