About the job

Applications are invited from experienced Benefits and Debt Advisers. The successful applicants will form part of a team. It is essential to have a thorough knowledge of the benefits system, income maximisation and some experience of debt management to Type II. Familiarity of the voluntary sector would be an advantage.

The post holder will be expected to deal effectively and efficiently with clients, maintain full case records, compile statistics and prepare monitoring reports on activities.

In addition to the above:

Post 1 - Benefits and Debt Adviser at Locational Outreaches: the post holder will prevent homelessness and sustain accommodation through the provision of advice. A proven record of case work in Money Advice with vulnerable clients is required. The post holder will work in various locations within the city. Salary £25,000 per annum. 

Post 2 - Benefits and Debt Adviser: the post holder will work in outreach locations within the City as required. A proven record of case work in Money Advice is necessary. Salary £22,533 per annum.
