Dundee Citizens Advice Bureau is looking for an enthusiastic Money Advice Triage Worker to join our advice team and make a real difference to their community. The role will be based in our office at Dundee Central Library with some home-working flexibility.
The Money Advice Triage Worker will primarily work alongside the Money Advice Supervisor and Money Advice Team. They will deal with requests for advice via telephone, face to face, e-mail and video conferencing and are expected to demonstrate and adhere to good practice in all aspects of this work.
The Triage Worker will support all aspects of Money Advice, including gathering information from initial contacts to the bureau, creating appointments and handling referrals to and from external agencies as necessary.
Experience of giving advice is desirable and energy and benefit advice experience will be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will have good IT skills as the role will provide advice using face to face appointments, phone, email and video calls.
We are looking for excellent admin skills, strong organisational abilities and a good telephone manner. The ability to communicate well is essential.
