Aberdeen Citizens advice Bureau is a Charity that has been providing advice and information to the people of Aberdeen for over 80 years. The Bureau gives all clients free, confidential, impartial and independent advice on a wide range of subjects including: Benefits, Debt Advice, Employment, Immigration, Consumer Issues, Relationships and Housing.
We are seeking a Deputy Manager with the right skills, experience and attributes to support the Bureau Manager in the day to day management of bureau and to support and develop volunteer services.
The successful candidate will be able to work within an exciting and challenging environment; be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with effective communication skills, able to work under pressure, able to work as part of a team, be skilled in report writing and have analytical skills.
He or she also will have experience of recruitment, training and development. They will be able to motivate both paid and unpaid colleagues with a commitment the principle of volunteerism. A good understanding of office administration and technology is essential for this post, in additional to experience of delivering quality standards and monitoring these against agreed targets. Knowledge of the CAB service, local authority structure and committee procedures is essential.
