Parkhead CAB is seeking applications for a suitably experienced individual to join their staff team. Jointly funded by SCVO and Glasgow City Council, the post will provide information, advice and support to our staff and clients on digital options and seek to enhance individual’s skills and opportunities.
This is initially a fixed term post for one year, with the possibility of future funding. Parkhead Bureau has a proven track record of obtaining further funding for its work.
Digi Aye is Parkhead Citizens Advice Bureau’s exciting new service. The post holder will be key to the bureau’s aim to support its clients in a changing digital world and to ensure that they are empowered and enabled to make the best use of the digital resources available in their local area and beyond. As well as directly assisting our clients, the digital adviser will also play a key role in upskilling and supporting our advisers around IT to assist their work with clients.
Key areas of advice and assistance for our clients are likely to include online benefits help, including Universal Credit roll out, but also how to look for affordable deals online, trusted sites for self help and where else they can go to increase their digital knowledge and skills.
Ideally the postholder should have some CAB or similar advice giving experience/background. Key to the post will be digital knowledge and expertise.
