Vets Hub Project: Employability Officer (Fixed term, Part Time), Motherwell and Wishaw Citizens Advice Bureau

Motherwell & Wishaw CAB secured the funding to run a VETS Project (Veterans Employability and Transition Support) to provide employability programme which is suitable for Veteran's, Early Service Leavers, Serving Personnel Transitioning and those being discharged via ill health.We are seeking to recruit an Employability Officer to deliver bespoke employability programme taking into account the specific support needs of veterans. The post holder will have an understanding of Veterans and all they have to offer the community. They will support them to access partner services which offer health and social support, guiding them towards a positive transition (into employment or alternative positive destinations). They will carry out all Veteran recruitment and training; will organise work placements, mentor participants on placement and providing one-to-one PAGE support and assessment. (Praise, Ask, Guide, Encourage). They will deliver employability workshops and CV assistance, as well as co-ordinate support on personal budgeting skills, financial education, housing, benefits, employment and dealing with debt advice for both Veterans and their families.The successful applicant will have experience in designing, developing and delivering training and employability programmes.  It is also essential that they have excellent communication and organisational skills.
