About the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated person to join our team.  The ideal candidate will be able to check benefit entitlement, assist with benefit applications (including on-line applications) and offer advice and assistance on benefit issues, up to and including mandatory reconsideration requests. They will also have a good basic understanding of the ‘money advice process’ and be able to advise clients on budgeting, priority debts and expenditure and provide information on the debt enforcement process.  Complex / multiple debt cases will be referred on to our Approved Money Adviser. 

The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team is essential, as are excellent organisational and IT skills.  Access to a car and a clean driving licence are an advantage, as this role will involve Outreach work.

This post is funded via Scottish Legal Aid Board funding.
