More about the job

About the job

Citizens Advice Scotland, our member bureaux and our consumer helpline together form Scotland’s largest independent advice network.

We help more than 300,000 people a year solve their problems and stand up for their rights, in communities everywhere from city centres to the Highlands and Islands.

We look at the problems people bring to our advice services and campaign for change where it’s needed most. So when we speak out about something, it’s because it matters to people – whether it’s limiting the damaging effects of welfare changes or making sure payday loan companies can’t ruin lives.

We work for a fairer Scotland where people are empowered and their rights respected.

We are currently recruiting for an IT Support Assistant.

Part of the IT support team, within the IT Department, the IT Support Assistant will provide general 1st level support and maintenance to approximately 120 Citizen Advice Scotland staff, and 2,500 staff and volunteers within the Bureaux network supporting over 160 physical locations.

The role holder will log, triage and resolve IT Service Desk 1st level support tickets whilst being part of an exciting period of change within the IT Architecture which would give opportunities to broaden skills and experience.

The IT Support Assistant will be based in the 1st level support team working closely with 2nd/3rd level IT support staff and other members of the IT Department. They will also work closely with colleagues in Citizens Advice Scotland and in Citizens Advice (England and Wales) in delivering the annual work plan and the Citizens Advice Scotland Strategic Plan.

We offer excellent terms and conditions of employment including 30 days annual leave and 10 public holidays, flexitime and a pension scheme.
