Citizens Advice Scotland (CAS), our 61 member Citizen Advice Bureaux (CAB), the Citizen Advice consumer service, and the Extra Help Unit, form Scotland’s largest independent advice network. Advice provided by our service is free, independent, confidential, impartial and available to everyone. We are champions for both citizens and consumers and in 2015/16 the Citizens Advice Service in Scotland helped over 310,000 clients in Scotland deal with over one million issues overall.
We are currently recruiting for the post of Head of Finance.
This key post is part of the Senior Management Team, and will be responsible for the preparation of an annual organisational budget of around £15 million.
You will lead and support the Finance department in the maintenance and development of systematic and effective processes for financial control and review and take overall responsibility in the production and development of management/financial accounting and reporting across the organisation.
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (CCAB/CIMA), preferably with Chartered status. A working knowledge of the charity sector, and Scottish charity accounting under the OSCR regulatory framework would be desirable.
