Advice in Scotland 2014/15

Advice in Scotland 2014/15 is Citizens Advice Scotland’s state of the nation report on the problems that people are experiencing across the country. 

Providing new and in depth information on the hundreds of thousands of people in Scotland who use a bureau for advice every year, this report shows the key problems experienced by clients across the country.

2014/15 was another busy year for CAB in Scotland, what with the roll out of new benefits including Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payments, advice and referrals to foodbanks increasing by 47%, and the citizens advice service in Scotland providing one piece of advice every 19 seconds. 

In 2014/15, business increased by 4% and the citizens advice bureaux network helped 275,000 clients with over 900,000 issues during the year.
